By the end of a weekend of long days of carving, stamping, cutting paper and folding card, gluing and writing, my right hand was a wreck!
I don't usually leave all this to the last minute, in fact back in the day I used to get my Christmas cards made during Open Studios week in September, finding it a pleasantly busy thing to do which wasn't thrown off kilter by interruptions of visitors to the studio. This year, however, I was very pleasantly distracted by Folk Tale Week on Instagram in November, followed by the stained glass window work and installation; by the second week of December I still hadn't sorted out the chaos in my work room left by the house move with lots more packing crates to sort before the card-making could even start.
However, it's done now, and my new work room is lovely (but the hallway outside is a mess!)
Hopefully I will be better organised next year and space the card-making work out more comfortably - maybe even the hallway will be tidy by then!
Thanks for visiting, see you next week!
