What I see in walls: Part 2
Some more photos I took of the familiar walls in the old house, drawn over to bring to light the little friends I saw in their textures and shadows every day.
Thanks for visiting, see you next week!

What I see in walls: Part 2 Some more photos I took of the familiar walls in the old house, drawn over to bring to light the little friends I saw in their textures and shadows every day. Thanks for visiting, see you next week! Finishing up in the old house, the rooms empty, my studio has been packed up and moved; I went around with a notepad and biro (yellow Bic, my favourite) and made sketches of lovely quirky angles and observations I have been meaning to draw for ages - plus a strange dream I had about shadow puppets emerging from a chimney in an enchanting chain! Thanks for visiting, see you next week! 9 interesting things I saw this week. - A rather pleasantly-formed piece of rooty thing B dug up while mending drains - Strange sketch on a bit of packing crate (by B, I suspect) - Seeded flowers in a neglected vase - More seeded flowers - Chinese dragon in bobble glass - Old woman in bobble glass - A crane fly doing exactly what my insect drawings do - Reflections from the car parked outside casting shadows - Cocktails, anyone? Thanks for visiting, see you next week! Moving House I didn't manage to blog last week - and this week has still been all about moving house. I don’t know if this is the longest house move in history, but it has been going on for over a year now (with a break over Christmas). Because we are returning to live in my old family home, there has been a lot of work to do at both ends, and now we are mostly moved in, we are dealing with issues such as finding pre-1970s round-pin electric sockets. |
Welcome to my work journal - a weekly update on drawings, work in progress, doodles and day-dreaming.
I changed the website address a few months ago, so some older links on previous posts are broken. If you click one of those and it takes you to a strange page, simply replace the .co.uk after the heatherelizawalker. with weebly.com and it will work again. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

As well as the work you see here, I illustrate under the name of Binky McKee (my mother's maiden name was McKee, Binky was every single one of my great grandmother's many cats!)
If you would like to visit my Binky website, please click the picture above. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Dissolving PeopleA symbol on the footpath outside a local primary school gradually disappearing as the image breaks up and wears away until eventually it is obliterated by leaves and barely discernible. Photographed at intervals of several months between February 2021 and November 2022, oldest at the top.
(My shoes look so new in the first pic, and note the transition to new phone in the last photo). <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
